About Conningbrook Fishing Lake
Conningbrook Lane Fishing Lake was dug out in the early eighties with the original strain of fish coming from some of our previous lakes waters in Faversham.
Although this is a very hard water with approximately 30 known carp present, the sheet size of these fish is exceptional. The anglers who fish this water on a regular basis know that the next run could be a personal best.
The lake produced the British Record Mirror of 67lb 14ox known as Two Tone, who unfortunately died a few years ago.
The Brook still holds some huge fish with all of the originals well into 20lbs yet most hitting the 30lb mark. We do have one common believe to be an upper 40lb, possibly now closer to 50lbs.
The 30 acre venue attracts the biggest names in carp fishing, one of which is Lee Jackson. Lee done his time on Conningbrook and described it as “the best six years fishing” he has ever had.
The water is extremely rich with lots of natural life, it’s hard to get those water pigs on your bait.
